What Is The Most Important Aspect Of Making Designer Clothes Look Good?

Have you ever bought a very expensive, high fashion piece of clothing and worn it, but didn’t get the reactions you had hoped? Have you ever bought something that looked a lot better in the store on the mannequins than it does on you? If so, you are a like a lot of people who buy designer clothes – you are focusing on the name brand instead of the fit!

Very few people buy clothes that fit them correctly. Now, we are not talking just about having it the right size, we are talking about the shape of the clothes. If you take 5 different white t-shirts from 5 different designers, they will all fit your body differently. Most people think a large shirt from one designer fits the same as a large shirt from another designer, but more often than not, this is not the case. The same thing goes for suits, dresses, t-shirts, and any piece of clothing you can think of. You need to find the brand that fits the shape of your body the best.

Having designer clothes is a great way to look good, but if the clothes don’t fit correctly and compliment your body type, the most expensive clothes in the world are not going to look good on you. The sooner you focus on getting a good fit instead of just focusing on the name brand, the sooner you will start to look a lot better and people will take notice of the clothes you are wearing.

What Pieces Of Your Wardrobe Should Be Designer?

Too many people make the mistake of insisting every piece of clothing in their wardrobe must be designer. They think that generic brand clothing is evil for some reason and don’t want any of it touching their body. But, the smart consumer knows which pieces should be designer brand and what pieces don’t need to be.

The main focal point of any nice looking outfit should be designer brand. For men, things like suit jackets, pants, dress shirts, shoes, and things that people will notice should be designer. For women, things like their dress, their shoes, and whatever the main focus of their outfit is should be designer. More often than not, you can’t find good looking focal points of outfits that are not designer, so this is rarely an issue.

As a general rule, it is not worth it to purchase designer pieces of clothing that no one will be able to see. For example, designer socks, underwear, undershirts, and other similar garments are usually a waste of money. Sure, sometimes the designer brand may feel better, but if you are buying designer socks just for the fact that they are designer, you are wasting your money.

Focusing on purchasing pieces of designer clothes that people will notice is the best way to get the most bang for your buck. Unique pieces like jackets, logoed shirts and pants are good places to splurge on designer brands. But things like undershirts or other garments where people will not even notice are wearing them – they are better left to generic brands.
